These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://thebaseblocks.com (“Site”) operated by The Base Blocks (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Overview

The Base Blocks provides web design, web maintenance, and systems integration services for businesses. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing for any engagement will be outlined in a separate project proposal or agreement.

  • We may use the information to respond to your inquiry and communicate about potential services
  • We may retain your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Submitting a contact form does not create a client relationship or contractual obligation

6. Project Engagements

Proposals and Agreements

Any project engagement (web design, systems integration, etc.) will be governed by a separate written proposal or service agreement. These Terms do not constitute a service agreement.

Payment Terms

Payment terms, schedules, and amounts will be specified in the project proposal. We typically require 50% upfront and 50% at launch, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Revisions and Changes

The scope for revisions and change requests will be defined in the project proposal. Changes outside the agreed scope may incur additional fees.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

8. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to The Base Blocks for the services giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Base Blocks, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by The Base Blocks. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. You access third-party sites at your own risk.

11. Dispute Resolution

The parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms through good faith negotiation first. If the parties are unable to resolve the dispute through negotiation within thirty (30) days, the parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing litigation.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Site, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
